Hi! I'm a friendly and enthusiastic young professional and Natural Sciences graduate from the University of Bath, with over 1000 hours of private tutoring experience. With a great track record, I am dedicated to helping my students achieve the best exam results that they are capable of whilst also encouraging enjoyment of their subjects.

Having performed exceptionally well in my GCSEs (7A* 3A) and A levels (A*A*A*A*) and working part time as a tutor ever since, I have up to date subject knowledge and experience of succeeding in exams.

I am currently working full-time as a business operations manager at a software development scale-up based in London with availability to tutor on Monday and Friday evenings. Outside of work, I enjoy songwriting, music production and globetrotting.

Tutoring Experience

I have over 1000 hours of private tutoring experience and also spent a year working in a top local grammar school as a teaching assistant. I tutored over 20 students studying for their GCSEs or A levels and was happy to receive positive feedback from all of them.

As a teaching assistant I provided academic support to pupils with Special Educational Needs. This experience developed my ability to tailor teaching to the specific capabilities and needs of the student. I also worked as a coach at an after-school football club and volunteered at a sports club for children with disabilities.

Tutoring Approach

Whilst teaching, I guide students towards "understanding" before "knowing". I am quick to identify a student's strengths, learning style and gaps in understanding, and use this to tailor our focus to the right areas.
It goes without saying that I aim to ensure that they're able to answer exam questions successfully but it is equally important to me that they feel comfortable asking questions and engaging. I find it very rewarding to help students to discover that they have the ability to achieve more than they believe is within their capabilities.
