I am an Oxford graduate in Geography with almost 25 years of experience as a tutor. I have been tutoring online for many years, and this is now the bulk of my teaching, meaning I can tutor you wherever you are in the world!

Tutoring Experience

I can't quite believe it, but I have been tutoring for nearly 25 years and hold a City and Guilds Certificate in Delivering Learning. I have a wide range of experience tutoring at Common Entrance, Key Stage 3, GCSE and IGCSE, AS/A2 level and IB, on a 1-to-1 basis and in small groups. I have worked for a number of tutorial colleges and holiday revision courses in Oxford, as well as offering private tuition at my home or the student's home. I've taught students of all abilities, including those seeking entrance to Oxbridge and those with learning disabilities including dyslexia and ADHD.

Tutoring Approach

I have a genuine passion for geography and enjoy working with students to help them achieve their goals. Geography is a wide-ranging and constantly changing subject and cannot possibly be covered in any one textbook, so I try to help students to think outside of the same-old examples in the textbook and instead to develop a love for the world around them, to think independently and develop a set of knowledge that will not only enable them to get good grades in their exams but also to enjoy planet Earth and its people more widely.

I now tutor online only, using Zoom.
