I am a recently retired Maths teacher with nearly 40 years teaching experience. I have taught all Secondary ages from 11 to 18, including A level maths & Further Maths.
I also have experience of one-to-one tutoring.
I enjoy helping students to achieve their best possible results and I tailor my teaching to fit the needs of each individual.
I have taught mostly secondary maths for 39 years, the last 19 years in the same school. I have taught KS3 classes, GCSE and A level - and have had consistently good results.
I have also got experience of tutoring one-to-one, which I find enjoyable because it enables me to concentrate fully on the needs of the individual student, and tailor my teaching accordingly.
If you chose me as your tutor I would first discuss with you closely what your particular strengths and weaknesses were and what areas we would need to focus on.
I have a wealth of resources gathered over many years of teaching which I can use to facilitate your learning.
I use an approach which combines instruction and practice, and which can complement any learning from school or college.
As well as tuition in my home for local students I offer online tuition using Skype which can be over any distance obviously. I have experience with this and find it works best with older students (year 11 or above)
