I am an experienced Economics/Business/Finance tutor with 12 years of successful teaching, education consultation and thesis advisory track record.

I hold BA Economics (honours), MSc Finance (merit) and PhD Economics from Imperial College London. After I finished my education I have worked for several financial services firms including ANZ Global Markets, OakNorth and Tages Capital. I am currently working as an emerging markets portfolio manager for an asset management firm in London.

Tutoring Experience

I have nine years tutoring experience of working with students from different levels. I also worked as a teaching assistant and thesis supervisor at Imperial College London. Additionally, I have extensive experience in providing written feedback on courseworks, essays, and university applications and dissertations.

I have taught various academic subjects including Accounting, Business Management, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, Finance and Strategic Management to A-levels, degree, master and doctorate students. I have also co-published papers on Financial Management and Banking Regulations. My experience as a researcher enables me to help my students improve their academic writing and analytical skills.

Tutoring Approach

As well as explaining concepts and introducing new materials, as a tutor I try to encourage dialogues that are led by students. When I hear them asking relevant questions, or articulating theories in their own words, I know that they have understood the material. My teaching style is formed by my positive experiences during my own years as a student. My aim is to increase my students' confidence and help them achieve excellent results. I give my tutees structure as well as enough flexibility so they can learn independently.

Naturally, students' needs determine the content and structure of my lessons. I can also offer help with university applications and provide essay/coursework feedback.
