I am an easy going and approachable individual that takes pride in everything I do. I always try my best in everything I do and always give 100% which has made me an successful individual not just in the classroom but also in the real world. This has helped me apply everyday experiences in to my teaching and highlighted the importance of mathematics in everyday life.
Currently head of maths with a successful track record in pupils achieving above and beyond expectations. My speciality has been to take pupils with below national average ks2 results to well above national average expected results. With the new change in the mathematical curriculum, I have been implementing a new approach within my current role, a curriculum which focuses on problem solving and fluency of mathematics which the national curriculum desires. I have created resources, and stratigies on how to best deliver the new curriculum and train others on how to adopt this approach.
I have high standards and expectations in teaching and learning and can adopt different approaches and strategies to achieve the best from my tutiees. My aim is to always create a safe, comfortable, and a learning environment we're the tuties will feel at ease. My aim is always to first adopt the nature of tutoring, either exam preparation or mathematical support and then put a learning plan in place on how to best achieve the required outcome either through exam practice, exploration to achieve fluency and increase mathematical knowledge. With the introduction of the new mathematical curriculum that schools have to adopt I feel I am the best candidate to deliver the mathematical knowledge required as I have all the latest resources and technology and the capacity.
