Open to new students from January 2026 for summer exam preparation.
I am an experienced teaching professional with 10 years of teaching/tutoring experience in Divinity/Theology, History and English. I have an undergraduate degree in Philosophy and Theology, a PGCE in Religious Education and a MSc in Education from the University of Oxford. I trained as an AQA examiner and have considerable experience with entrance exams. I particularly focus on high-level teaching ensuring my students reach their absolute potential. I have vast experience in Oxford/Cambridge entrance coaching and assisting with personal statements/entrance exams. I completed my third degree (MSc) at the University of Oxford in Education and I am researching for my DPhil (PhD) in Religious Education.
I have a wealth of experience with DPhil/PhD proofreading and pride myself on quick, thorough and, importantly, accurate suggestions. Please select "Study Skills" for enquiries about my availability.
GCSE/Sixth Form, teaching English (Literature and Language), Religious Education, Sociology and History

10 years - coaching Oxbridge applicants
During these years I have maintained independent tutoring for Oxbridge candidates and additional support tutoring for school entrance exams.
My pedagogy focusses on making sure the student is confident by filling in the gaps in their knowledge explicitly for the syllabus requirement. Rather than a meandering appreciation for the subject my tutoring sessions sharply address gaps and thus ensuring a more secure subject knowledge.
I have proofread a variety of DPhils and PhDs ranging from Theology to Psychology. I am familiar with Harvard/APA/Chicago referencing.
I have undertaken both undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the University of Oxford in Philosophy, Theology and Education. I am presently at the university studying for a DPhil (PhD) in Religious Education meaning my subject knowledge is fresh and evolving to meet the ever-changing syllabus requirements.
I have considerable teaching/tutoring experience with high-level students. My focus is not on reproducing materials but on targeting what will improve students’ grades the most. Work hard, but work smart.
