Anita

I'm Anita, a 30 year old mum born in Italy. My mother is from Venezuela and my father is from Italy. We moved here when I was 8 and my enthusiasm for languages sparked at a very young age when, through no choice of my own, I stood in a bank finding myself having to translate from Italian to English. A 10 year old helping her father through a conversation with a cashier - I thought - languages is what I need to do! I love culture and am an embodiment of mixed cultures and languages and would love the opportunity to share my knowledge of languages. Language is a beautiful thing :-)

Tutoring Experience

I have been teaching for 7 years now, and wouldn't want to do anything else. I love languages and I love learning. More so, I love sharing my passion for learning with my students. I currently teach in a Secondary School in England and am very familiar with the curriculum. I went to university to specialise in languages and then studied and trained to be a teacher.

Tutoring Approach

I'm enthusiastic and bubbly.
My main principle is - repetition. You have to come across a word 21 times to fully learn and understand it so repetition is key for languages and we would be constantly reviewing vocabulary and structures.
Other than that my teaching style can be completely personal to you and your needs. We can focus on:
- particular skills you need: speaking, listening, reading or writing or a mix of all skills
- nouns, adjectives, verbs and tenses
- conversational skills
- grammar
- particular topics such as talking about yourself and your family, home, holidays, jobs and many more!

I'm currently offering 30 minute lessons or 45 minute lessons during school closures to help students with their home-learning and make tutoring more affordable during this unprecedented time
