I am a 48 year old maths teacher and mother of 2 young children. I have been teaching for 22 years and am currently employed by a local 16-18 Sixth Form College. I have been doing tutoring intermittently since 2005 with a range of students from GCSE to A-level.

Tutoring Experience

I have been teaching maths at all levels up to A level since 2000. I worked for 20 years in 2 Secondary schools that had Sixth Forms. In September 2021 I moved to teach in a sixth form college to focus on teaching A level. In all my roles I have had managerial responsibilities and in my current role I am in charge of First year maths.

Tutoring Approach

With my vast experience at all levels of teaching, I am familiar with all the requirements of the GCSE and A level specifications . I am highly skilled at knowing what strategies help students to learn and retain in preparation for their exams. I also work with tutees to develop exam technique and confidence building on the run up to the exams. I am also personable and friendly and have always had a good relationship with my tutees.
