I am a qualified and experienced lecturer in Chemistry with 14 years experience of teaching including experience of one-to-one tutoring. Additionally, I have completed a PGDE in secondary science giving me experience of teaching A-level, AS-level and GCSE chemistry and physics.
I am qualified to doctorate level in chemistry from the University of Oxford and have an extensive subject knowledge and great enthusiasm for the subject. I am currently a senior lecturer in chemical engineering giving me the knowledge and experience to offer physics as well as chemistry tutoring. Please note that I do not tutor biology.
I am happy to offer a free trial session for any potential student as it is important to make sure you have the right tutor for you. For that reason I will not contact you so if you are interested please message me and I will reply.
I have experience of teaching science at KS3, chemistry and physics at both GCSE and A-level as well as at degree level.
I have tutored students in A-level, AS-level and GCSE in chemistry and physics with positive results and feedback. The results of my tutees have been good with them achieving the grades necessary to get on to their chosen university course.
For degree level chemistry I am an inorganic/materials specialist but have also tutored physical chemistry up to third year level and can help with general organc chemistry.
I have always been able to adapt to individual students needs and find a way which suits them. I use a range of resources along with past paper questions and advice on exam technique to help the students achieve their potential. I also leave the student with questions to try in their own time to reinforce the material covered in the session.
