My name is Amy. I am a dynamic, engaging and fun educator who loves helping students to unlock their potential.

Tutoring Experience

I am a qualified primary educator who has had experience teaching in KS1 and KS2.
I am currently a year 4 teacher in a successful independent prep school in North London. I teach all core subjects.
I also specialise in teaching fluency in handwriting can can help and guide your child to perfect their cursive handwriting.

Tutoring Approach

I offer tuition in both English and Maths. I specialise in helping children with confidence issues in these subjects. I firmly believe building confidence is key in unlocking children's potential in both Maths and English and this can be achieved through helping the individual master the basics along with areas of uncertainty.
I specialise in helping pupils who typically do not find work in mathematics or English comes easy to them. I teach thoroughly and can break down these subjects using concrete methods to reinforce children's understanding.
I am a fun and energetic teacher. I have found pupils enjoy working with me as I endeavour to make learning fun and memorable through engaging tasks.
I have experience in preparing children for their independent progress tests (PTE and PTM) along with their CAT tests which are often used by independent prep schools to suggest future secondary schools for children.

- Pre learning for children so they are ahead of the game before in school lessons.
- Comprehension tutoring
- Creative writing

I prefer to tutor in person.

I have a purpise built classroom where I can offer tutoring and workshops or I can travel to you. I am based in Hemel Hempstead and charge an additional £5 to travel to you.
