Amriss

Currently I am working as a SLE-Physics (Specialist Leader in Education) in a high achieving school in Chorleywood, Rickmansworth whereby I am teaching KS4 to KS5 Physics. I am also a Lead Facilitator for STEM and leading CPD courses for science teachers such as TSST Physics GCSE course and A- level Physics courses to empower science teachers. I am leading many training enhancement courses for science teachers, running T&L workshops in the alliance and being deployed in other secondary schools to support and advise other science departments in order to improve results. My role also comprises of mentoring and coaching teachers in Physics as well.
I am an accomplished, motivated and enthusiastic Educator and I have significant experience and know-how of teaching and learning strategies and learning styles, educational administration and leading a Physics Department successfully and training/coaching teachers in Physics. I have strong planning, organisational and leadership skills and ensures that my target is reached.

Tutoring Experience

I worked as Head of Physics for nearly 10 years and I have significant experience in KS4 science coordination. I use innovative and active learning techniques to enhance the understanding. I also make use of analogies to facilitate learning and for learners to eliminate common misconceptions in the subject. It is vital to use many examples and how science work. I often use numerous stretch and challenge materials to enable learners to reach and exceed their target grade. I prepared and implemented many schemes of work for KS3-KS5 to support teachers in delivery effectively the national curriculum. I use different learning styles and teaching methods to cater for the ability and needs of my learners.

Tutoring Approach

It is important to know the weakness of the learners and address the issues.The learners must complete the tasks assigned to them . I use a lot of questioning techniques ,practice questions and Exams-style materials.The learners shall be equipped with the right techniques to tackle problems . On the hand I also provide loads of up to date learning resources to my learners. The right learning styles and teaching approach will be deployed.
