Highly experienced LSE tutor with over 14 years supporting students from A-Level through to undergraduate and postgraduate study for Sociology and Psychology. I previously taught students at the London School of Economics and bring insider knowledge of university-level expectations, marking criteria, and academic writing standards.
My academic background spans Sociology, Psychology and Anthropology, with degrees from the London School of Economics and the University of Amsterdam. This interdisciplinary training allows me to help students connect theory, research and real-world examples in a way that strengthens both understanding and essay performance.
Students typically come to me when they want to move beyond memorisation and develop clearer thinking, stronger argumentation and more confident academic writing.
I also specialise in supporting neurodivergent students, including those with ADHD or executive-function challenges. Sessions are structured to reduce overwhelm, improve focus and build sustainable study strategies while maintaining high academic standards.
Over the past 14 years I have supported more than 100 students studying Sociology, Psychology and related disciplines.
My experience includes:
• GCSE and A-Level exam preparation (AQA, Edexcel and OCR)
• helping students move from predicted Cs/Bs to A/A* grades
• undergraduate essay support and dissertation supervision
• advanced academic writing and research design
• personal statements and university applications
• working with students experiencing academic pressure or confidence challenges
Alongside private tutoring, I have taught undergraduate students at the London School of Economics and contributed to course development in relational psychology and executive education.
My students range from A-Level learners building foundations through to Master’s students refining dissertations and research projects.
My tutoring style is rigorous, collaborative and highly personalised. I do not rely on generic slides or pre-packaged lessons; each session is designed around how the student learns best.
We typically focus on three key areas:
• Deep understanding — breaking down complex theories and research clearly
• Structure and argument — building essays that earn marks rather than summarise material
• Academic confidence — helping students develop their own voice and analytical clarity
Sessions might involve analysing essay questions together, sharpening arguments, clarifying difficult theories, or designing revision strategies that actually work.
Students often describe lessons as intellectually energising and motivating. The aim is not only to improve grades but to help students feel more confident, capable and engaged with their subject.
