** Update Nov 2022 - new slots are available, please get in touch for availability. **
I am a qualified Psychology teacher with 21 years experience teaching in Sixth Form Colleges and FE Colleges in Lancashire. I am also an Assistant Examiner having worked with all exam boards (CIE, OCR, IB, Edexcel and AQA) and have done so for the past 12 years. I have an honours degree in Psychology with Biology (University of Liverpool) and a Masters in Psychology (University of Central Lancashire).
Having taught Psychology predominantly at AS and A Level for a variety of exam boards I am familiar with the specification requirements and assessment criteria of each one. I can provide support for Psychology specifications through revision materials and exam based resources which can help students achieve a high grade in Psychology.
In addition to the 1:1 face-to-face lesson I also provide support via marking and feedback with an emphasis on exam success, please ask about the details of my monthly marking package.
I have been teaching Psychology since 2001 and have worked with students from all backgrounds aged 16+. I have written resources for TES Authors and 'Psychexchange' and continue to make contributions to student forums.
I am also available to provide support for the Extended Project Qualifications (EPQ) and Personal Statement writing for UCAS applications. I welcome students from both the UK and abroad studying at International schools, having experience teaching Edexcel International and teaching and marking CIE International.
All of my tuition is carried out on a 1:1 basis via video link (Skype), giving students a personable face-to-face lesson. In addition to the weekly sessions I offer an extensive marking package allowing students to receive feedback on their work which is tailored to their individual needs. Most students take advantage of this package especially during the exam period (additional fees are charged). Students not only get detailed feedback on their exam technique but I ensure they are completing exam questions in line with the assessment objectives, essential to maximise their potential. I am also available by email at anytime should they have any questions.
I have a structured approach and will provide support, resources and guidance through or up to the exam period. Please see my feedback and get in touch for more information.
Available only Monday - Friday (9am-7pm) during term time (no holidays)
Please note I do not work weekends.
Time slots for the academic year 2022/2023 are now open, please get in touch to book. All sessions are allocated on a first come first served basis each year.
