ENQUIRIES FOR JUNE ONWARDS ONLY: I offer friendly, personalised tuition of the highest quality, specialising in AQA & Edexcel at A Level and AQA GCSE Geography. I have over 20 years of successful teaching experience, including 10 years as a Head of Geography.

Tutoring Experience

I love teaching Geography and with experience as an examiner for one of the main exam boards, I’m able to provide you with crucial insights into successful exam technique, using loads of high-quality resources, ready-made lessons and revision ideas that I will tailor to your specific needs. When appropriate, I can send study supports through the post, to help you prepare for your exams and the feedback I have had about these resources is overwhelmingly positive. I have an excellent track record of accelerating learning through tutoring and I pride myself on a friendly approach with attention to detail, to help you build your confidence and love of Geography.

Tutoring Approach

There’s no one-size-fits-all approach to improving and before our first lesson, you will get a no-charge ‘diagnosis’ where we talk through your particular needs. This enables me to target the areas important to you, so that you’re able to make rapid progress. These areas can be specific subject content areas, exam technique (Geography exam questions require a particularly direct writing style) or your successful understanding of command words (especially at A Level). Whatever your areas of need are, I always teach with great patience and a style that my students are comfortable with.

I have a genuine passion for my subject and my aim is the same for you as it is for my students at school; to firstly help you reach the highest grade you can, to develop your love of Geography, and to do it all with a smile on your face, because experience tells me that when you enjoy studying something, you inevitably achieve better.
