My name is Alida, I am a Head of maths in a school in south east London. I have been teaching Maths for 7 years now.
I am a trustworthy, reliable and honest person.
I care about children and I was a nurse assistant before I became a maths teacher.
I have expectations and set clear boundaries because I believe they are really important for success.
I also set homework and mark them frequently when tutoring.
I have great experience teaching and tutoring Maths and French in the UK and abroad.
Before I meet up with a student I always ask parent to send me the scheme of work. I like following exactly what the student is doing in class because they need to have more confidence and see the purpose of a tutor.
More work and practice for the student because I strongly believe that practice make perfect. I also give homework, this will help the student consolidate what they have learned.
