Hi, I'm Alex, German teacher for adult learners!

I am originally from Hamburg in Germany and settled in the UK about three years ago after spending some years in Iceland finishing my M.A. in cultural studies and linguistics.

I am a positive, kind and patient person and enjoy motivating leaners and helping them reach their full potential. Having me as a teacher means you will enjoy learning German and end up with a beautiful, neutral accent!

Tutoring Experience

Besides being a private tutor I have been working at a high school as a TA preparing students for their German oral GCSE and A Level exams for the past three years.

I hold an M.A. in cultural studies with a focus on linguistics. My Bachelor thesis was all about motivation in language learning. :)

Whether you're a business professional, or someone who likes to spend time in German speaking countries, I am here to help you fulfill your language potential.

Learners I teach online tend to learn especially quickly. Using shared cloud documents where we save notes and explanations, do exercises and correct homework together in real time has turned out to be fun and efficient. I sort our notes after each lesson so it is easy for you to revise!
