I live and work in wallington, Surrey. I am a father of two.
I am a qualified and an experienced teacher. I taught not only in England but also in two more English speaking countries. I have been teaching chemistry and biology at AS and A2 level for more than twenty years now. However I can also offer the same at GCSE level including IGCSE (both EDEXCEL and Cambridge). I have been teaching for most of the UK GCE specifications including Edexcel, OCR and AQA. Since 2008, I have been teaching the same subjects along with IB specification too. At the end of each module I use practice questions, past and/or specimen paper questions to improve answering techniques.I also regularly update my lesson plans and notes accordingly with recent changes in specifications.
Almost all of my lessons are one to one and I only teach what is required by the specification. I use both concept and context style teaching particularly for biology. I am always very good in finding out the needs of an individual and his/her learning style. I use appropriate teaching style based on their needs in order to achieve a top grade. As most of my students are old enough to get most out of me, I am very flexible with their own lesson plan.
Above all I enjoy teaching and get a lot of satisfaction when my students achieve very good grades. Last year almost all of my students managed to get their first choice in their university entrance.
