I am retired Physics Teacher and now work as a Physics Tutor at The University of Derby as well as working as a private tutor in both Maths and Science.I am married with 2 children in their 20's. I graduated in Physics in 1987. I am a friendly, approachable person with a helpful manner.
I have 25 years teaching Physics, Chemistry and Biology GCSE
23 years teaching Physics at A level. I have taught in 2 Staffordshire Schools
I have tutored 10 students over a 12 year span as a one to one. All achieved +2 or more on their working at grade and achieved a higher than their expected grade set by the school. All but one went on to University to achieve a degree.
I use latest teaching materials, workbooks and IT resources. I give weekly homework. I monitor my student's weekly progress to make sure all my students achieves the set target. .
I believe that I am creative. I take a concept and shape a lesson that is engaging and dynamic to grab the student’s attention. I am determined in that I will pursue the necessary means to reach all students whatever the challenge is. I am sensitive to a student’s struggles and adapt ways to assist them. I have always been dedicated and spend the necessary time to provide your students with the best education.
