I am a secondary mathematics teacher at a school in Stirlingshire. I am extremely passionate about teaching and mathematics hence put together means I enjoy what I do and manage to transfer this love of my subject successfully to my pupils. As far as I am aware I am known to be an approachable and friendly person which is why my students think I love being a teacher, no doubt it is very true. I have 3 children who are at various stages of school and spending time with them is my favourite pass time.

Tutoring Approach

My aim is always to make the subject relevant to the real world. I believe in differentiating as required and making pupils understand basic concepts before moving on. Many pupils find most topics of Maths difficult, I believe working at a pupil's own pace on a one to one basis can clarify many misconceptions and thus help reach their potential in maths. With the aid of online comunication software i.e. skype, zoom etc and a graphics tablet I am able to tutor online meaning you and your child do not have to dedicate extra time to traveling.
