Passionate, and very wideu read about 20th Century history ( even been on BBC TV'S Mastermind with specialist subject of The Russian Revolution) Still devour serious history books about major themes - Origins of WW1 and WW2, Holocaust, Russian Revolution, Stalin, British Empire, Cold War etc.
None that is formal. Just a hugely passionate engagement and working with kids of friends to bring the fascination and relevance of history to life.
Helping learners bring this wonderful, riveting subject to life, and place the major events of the period they are studying into a context where they see the connections to modern life, and the relevance to their own world. Yes, there will be dates, and facts, because without these, we have no agreed start point. But then, based on these foundations, I encourage critical thinking, and some challenge to conventional wisdom.
