I am a recent graduate from Liverpool Hope University. I graduated with a 1st in primary education with special educational needs. I am also a certified reading ambassador for the reader at Calderstones Park. Meaning I encourage children to read though positive reinforcement. Not only do I am to improve children’s reading ability but I provide a therapeutic experience which allows children to express themselves in a safe and stimulating environment.
I have lots of experience teaching across the primary sector. I have taught in all the key stages, from reception right the way up to key stage 2. During my time working in schools I have took part in many group interventions and one to one sessions to ensure that my pupils reach their goals.
To ensure children are learning they need to be engaged and motivated. Therefore, I always aim to set my sessions around something that interests them, whether that be Harry Potter, formula 1 or Disney princesses. My philosophy is that if the children aren’t enjoying their learning they will not succeed to the best of their ability.
