Mohammad Abdullah

I am a qualified Chartered Accountant from KPMG.
I graduated with an Economics, Finance and Management degree from Queen Mary, University of London.
My educational background makes me a confident tutor, as I achieved an A* grade in GCSE maths, and then carried this forward and achieved an A grade in A-Level Maths. My Economics degree has equipped me well and provides in-depth knowledge on various aspects of Economics, including both Micro and Macro. My A grade in A-Level Economics also allows me to tutor to a very high standard and support students in any difficulties they face.

I really enjoy working with people, especially students, as it allows me to impact their attainment in a positive way and support them in progressing in their education. My teaching method is to first understand the student and their requirement, and then adapt how I deliver the lesson according to their needs.

In addition to Maths and Economics, I can also provide tutoring for other subjects, including Business studies and English for all education stages, ranging from primary school through to GCSE.

Tutoring Experience

I have tutored specifically for GCSE maths, business studies, as well as A-level Economics, supporting in all challenging aspects of the subject, and equipping students with the knowledge to attain A and A* grades.
I have also previously mentored GCSE students, helping them with homework and exam preparation, as well as issue going beyond academics. This included working on time management skills, and developing interpersonal skills to help the students integrate better with their peers and boosting their self confidence.

Tutoring Approach

My approach is to firstly understanding my students' position and knowledge on their subjects, and accordingly devising a strategy to help them progress in a logical and easy-to-follow method.
