TAKING NEW REQUESTS

Recently graduated from a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics at University College London. Unlike other tutors, I am fresh from College and so still am very familiar with the syllabi for Mathematics from GCSE and A level. Further, I have recently been through the process of those exams and am able to provide more insight on the preparation required to achieve high grades and what material would require more work!

I have worked with many different ranges of students and am familiar with what learning approach works better for certain ages. Having a younger tutor will help develop stronger relationships with the students and allow them to be more comfortable to ask questions.

Tutoring Experience

During the entirety of my A levels & partly GCSEs I partook in a tutoring program within my school to aid those who were struggling with Mathematics. Further I was also able to assist many family friends whose young children were not enjoying Maths. I have tutored many children over the course of my time on this website and helped them gain confidence in the subject and obtain a deeper understanding.

Tutoring Approach

I believe the best approach to teach Mathematics to students who don’t understand the material is to explain to them in analogies which they can understand. Especially taking the approach to give time to allow them to try and explain it to me in their own words can really show that they’ve understood!

I produce curated content for every tutee depending on their needs and abilities. This can range from study plans, worked solutions and communication outside of sessions. I also provide tailored content for past papers and insights on common mistakes and problems.
