Una was very organized and quick to understand our son's challenges (being a very, very, achingly slow writer). She got him up to speed in time for the GCSE exams with a combination of tutoring sessions and work to do at home. As well as revising and explaining in more detail the GCSE texts, she provided extra texts to study and take examples from, building up his confidence. After his exams, he came home quite proud of himself for having written three to four times the amount he would have normally have written, within the allotted time, and confident of having responded completely to the questions. I had to get a tutor for my 17 year old son, who has not been in school for over 2 1/2 years due to anxiety and depression. James tutored my son for GCSE English language and maths. I cannot emphasise how patient, calm and understanding James was. There were a couple of sessions where my son wasn't coping and James made no fuss about it; just ensured by talking to me that he wasn't doing anything wrong, which he wasn't. I am thrilled to be able to say that my son has just sat his exams without any problems.
