Having been messed around slightly by another guitar teacher I made contact with Matthew and am very glad I did so. He's extremely knowledgeable, patient, and good at explaining things. I'd picked up my guitar again three years ago for the first time in many years (no prizes for guessing why!) and started re-teaching myself as best I could. I was making ok progress, but at the beginning of January I realised if I was going to do this seriously I needed to get a good teacher. Using the internet to try and learn is all well and good, but nothing beats actual face to face interaction with someone who is an excellent musician, knows what they're talking about, and can show one on the spot what to do, where one is going wrong, and how to get it right. I am more than happy to recommend Matthew to anyone who is thinking of taking the plunge and getting serious about getting better on the guitar. I've pretty much only played acoustic guitar in my life so far, but at some stage I want to start properly on electric and I know that Matthew will be just as accomplished in that area as well.

Will is an excellent tutor and I'd have no hesitation in recommending him to prospective students. He actively listens and tailors his teaching to student interests and needs, rather than following a well-trodden routine. He's also very good at explaining the benefits of particular approaches with regard to technique, why these choices are pertinent to the music in question and how they will benefit its performance. Will appears to have a particular flair for identifying exactly the right genres and pieces for me to tackle next.

It took us time to find the right teacher as we needed a professional musician to take my son to the next level, and we're so happy to have found Christos! My 11 year old is quite creative and plays at an advanced level. He finds Christos very inspiring and comes out of the lessons extremely energised and enthusiastic which, to me, says it all. Christos is very knowledgeable and my son enjoys discovering with him new genres of music that he hasn't learnt before, new scales/theory, as well as new metal/rock songs which are his first love. Christos uses Skype very efficiently. At the start we weren't sure that online lessons will work but we gave it a shot and actually we're very impressed with the amount of work that Christos does with my son every week and having all the instructions and tracks in the Skype chat box helps a lot for the practising between the lessons.

Trevelyan is a great teacher. I had picked up some basics from the internet but my playing didn’t sound great and was very limited. Trevelyan has been great at giving me tips to improve my playing and has really helped me understand music theory, how to apply it and how it all fits together. He is also a top guy, I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to learn or improve at guitar.
