Ally is an amazing teacher and I thoroughly enjoy our lessons together. I feel like I enter a time machine when I sit behind the drum kit with him because time just vanishes. Not only has he got a highly in-depth knowledge of percussion and music, he is also very able at conveying it to me, which cannot be said for all teachers. Ally is very enthusiastic and is genuinely buzzing when I nail something; I find this very encouraging. Watching Ally demonstrate his playing on the kit also inspires me massively! Outside of lessons he is very attentive in responding to my queries, which again, really helps my progression as a musician.
