Personal Description:

Hello, and welcome to my profile. My name is Panos, and I am a professional musician, educator, and content creator based in Southampton, UK.

I hold a First Class Honours degree in Music Performance from Solent University, and an LMusTCL diploma in Theory of Music from Trinity College London.

I have been teaching drums, piano, music theory, and other music-related subjects since 2008, and performing music since 1999, playing in bands, orchestras, and marching bands, in a wide variety of styles, from classical and film music, to jazz and heavy metal.

I have worked as a session drummer in both studio and live situations, touring in Europe several times since 2016, as well as performing in festivals and charity concerts in the UK, Greece, and the Netherlands. I also run a couple of channels with performance and educational content since 2013, and my videos have nearly three million views.

My studies, combined with my working experience, provide me with a wealth of knowledge and experience in recording, touring, music education, music production, music industry, branding, social media management, and online marketing, making me versatile and well-equipped to guide my students through all aspects of being a modern musician.

Tutoring Experience:

I started teaching the drums at Municipal Conservatoire of Neapolis in Thessaloniki, Greece, in 2008. I taught in one-on-one drums lessons as well as group workshops, and was also in charge of the percussion team of the conservatoire’s marching band, rehearsing and preparing the team for upcoming concerts and marching shows.

I worked at the conservatoire for 7 years before I moved to the UK, and during that time also expanded my knowledge by studying the piano, and getting my diplomas and teaching music theory, harmony, and counterpoint.

Furthermore, I have been giving priva**Contact Detail Removed**ssons on drums, piano and keyboards, music theory, and music technology and production since 2008.

Tutoring Approach:

All lessons are tailored to suit your needs and goals. I believe it is key to learn how to read music notation, as well as the fundamentals of music theory, and I always focus on helping you to develop a solid technique, because this makes playing any instrument effortless and helps avoid injuries. Other than those two fundamentals, everything else is entirely up to what you want to achieve.

We can focus on any style of music that you like, I can help you work your way through London College, Trinity College, or Rock School’s grade books, improve your improvisation skills, prepare you for an upcoming show or audition, or teach you how to play your favourite songs by breaking down all the parts for you.

I can teach drums and music theory at any level, from complete beginner to full working professional, and piano, keyboards, music technology, and music production at a lower level (check out the 'Instruments Taught' section for more details), and whether you are a casual hobbyist or aspire to become a professional musician, my goal is to help you reach your full potential and guide you through the learning process. No matter how much time you can dedicate to practicing between lessons, I can build you a practicing plan to make the best out of your practice sessions. Practicing is essential, as is listening to and playing as much music as possible, from various different styles.
