Personal Description:

Hello!

I'm Scott, a music teacher, performer, composer and musical director based in New Cross. I've been playing piano & percussion for over 20 years and have been working as a full time musician for over a decade. I am trained in classical, jazz & pop styles, and like to bring a hybrid blend of these approaches to my lessons.

Outside of teaching, I work mostly composing for film and performing/musically directing theatrical productions across the west end, the UK & internationally.

I am now offering in person lessons and online lessons over zoom.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been teaching for over a decade, beginners to advanced level pupils, children and adults (my youngest and eldest students are four and seventy years old respectively - you're never too young or old to learn!)

Subject areas I cover include:
Piano (classical, jazz, pop, musical theatre)
Drum Kit (rock, pop, jazz)
Theory
Composition & Arranging
Production & Music Tech

Tutoring Approach:

I like to take a relaxed & holistic approach to teaching, tailored around your needs and personality. Whether you're working towards a grade, learning to play your favourite songs, or needing one off help with a specific problem, the process should always be relaxed & fun!
