Katarzyna is an excellent Polish teacher. Lessons are built around a series of short translations from English into Polish, which in my experience as a language teacher too is the best way to develop confidence in using and speaking a new language (which tends to be much better than working through a textbook together, or working through a series of small activities). Katarzyna has an expert knowledge of grammar, and can break concepts down very clearly and manageably, while including relevant cultural and historical information, which helps it stick. Lessons are fast-paced, but Katarzyna can also slow down with particularly difficult sections. She also has an excellent teaching manner - she is very encouraging, lessons are funny, and she’s good at correcting mistakes. I’ve definitely noticed a significant improvement in my Polish, particularly in putting sentences together - the grammar focus has given me a stronger foundation in knowing what goes where, and in self-correcting while speaking. In conclusion Katarzyna is one of the best I’ve ever had for languages - I would wholeheartedly recommend her lessons!

I have only had a few lessons with Malgorzata so far but I have found her very patient which is great as I struggle to learn languages. Malgorzata teaches very well and is really easy to get in with too.

Edyta is obviously an experienced teacher. She is very professional and helpful in her manner. She has provided lots of very useful course materials and the lessons are very well-structured. She gives the student homework which allows continued focused study outside of the lessons. Edyta speaks to me mainly in Polish which is exactly what I need. I often don't understand completely, but it is the right thing to do to help me learn. I get lots of practice speaking Polish in the lessons too, which is good. The course material starts from basics which is fine. I presume that it will become more advanced later on, and therefore more challenging. I need to speak and listen to develop the skills to converse effectively in Polish, and to build my vocabulary. All in all, Edyta is proving very effective at helping me gain confidence to speak, and to focus on understanding what she says to me in her own language. I would highly recommend Edyta as a Polish teacher for anyone starting to learn the language.

What was initially a daunting prospect in fact was made very easy by Edyta as foreign languages have never been a strong point of mind. In the short number of sessions I’ve had the content has been manageable enough for me to digest and therefore build confidence. She always punctual and well prepared with different resources giving variety to help keep it interesting.

Zuzana is truly the best teacher I've ever had. Patient, nurturing, and highly competent. Her lessons are engaging and fun. She makes you feel so comfortable and really cares about your learning. What I found extremely interesting was that she tailors each lesson to a level that was slightly above my own so that it was challenging… but not too challenging. I'm learning Polish with Zuzanna, but would recommend her for English lessons too as she has a gift for teaching. Her class (online) is a mix of grammar, writing, and conversation. Zuzanna give me with engaging homework, such as watching a video clip with Polish subtitles; or an English clip with Polish subtitles. She then asks me questions as to what was going on and what was being said etc. This is fun and I'm learning fast! I wholeheartedly recommend Zuzanna as your tutor (at least try a free lesson with her!).
