What really ticked me off is when I come to booking a lesson with this guy his advertised rates at the time were £24p/h with a 25% discount for the first lesson… that would come to 36 pounds for the block of first two lessons back to back he said he does
Okay, he gives me a date and says I have to pay before the date. I say okay thinking he would send me his details. Nothing. I search the website thinking there must be a 'pay now' button somewhere, no I have to pay him directly. I send him an e-mail the night before the lesson asking him if he wants to send his details over so I can pay him.
The guy then says that £36 pounds for lessons is a ridiculously low sum of money for his time, and that his rates are in fact £70p/h! He says the rates on the websites are very old… He of course assumes I'm not going to pay this and leaves out his details again. Sends me rude messages, after which I give up on him.
This guy is a joke forget him, plenty more people out there to learn from. He hides his bad reviews so good luck finding the truth!
A person named 'David Barker' was never been my tutee, have had even a single session, but wasted two weeks of my time in serious of unfruitful communication. He never attended a session, did not seem to read what is on the Website, and getting angry for not getting my bank detail to pay in a rate which I never advertised.
He goes on to question the verification of my credentials and claiming that I hide feedback. Indeed this is the first utterly deliberate negative feedback I ever had and I did not dare to hide even his.
I provided him with a detailed explanation in the belief that he might misunderstood and I am happy to post the email exchange here if he consents. I accept that some new rates for courses that are not commonly requested such as C++ were not updated in the Website, however, the displayed rates were not what he is claiming.
I hope this helps in clarifying the situation.
