Personal Description:
I am an experienced IT professional with more than 10 years expertise in the IT service and support industry. I have a passion for providing high & consistent standards of service for IT users and am now looking to transition fully into the IT training arena, as I believe I can bring many years’ experience in high-level client liaison and customer service backed by strong IT skills and problem solving ability to the role. I have been involved in several training activities over the years and my customer base ranges from apprentices to experienced managers. My experience also covers different formats of delivery, from 1:1 sessions to classroom training.
I very much enjoy creating training materials and am adept at multiple applications with which to do so, particularly Microsoft Office suite and image editing software. I have honed my delivery of technical content over the years so that I am able to communicate ideas and concepts effectively to learners with different aptitudes and familiarity with the relevant material - I have attended courses to help me maximise my skills in this area. I also have experience reviewing and modifying work-flow processes as part of a change project or simply to ensure that my colleagues and I are wor in the most effective way. Since I have a strong background in IT Support, I am comfortable with ta on projects to train with applications or technology that I may not be familiar with - I enjoy learning about things and passing on what I have learned to others.
I have always enjoyed providing support to others and now I want to use my experience and passion to help develop the next generation of IT professionals so that they can have a solid grounding and understanding of the principles that will underpin their career. There is a saying that goes ‘there are no bad students, only bad teachers’ and I fully believe that good training will always provide an unshakable foundation to fall back on when acquired skills and knowledge may not be suitable for the task at hand.
