Information About Phil - Sheffield trainer

Personal Description:

I am a graduate Mechanical Engineer who has worked in IT for 15 Years. Initially I began authoring educational software for the University of Sheffield as part of a project involving a consortium of Universities. I then got involved in producing the consortium's website. Following this I have run my own IT **Contact Detail Removed** business which now concentrates on helping small businesses sell their goods online. During these 15 years I have done wide range of work ranging from building and repairing PCs, installing IT and **Contact Detail Removed**phone networks, creation of bespoke e-Commerce websites, installation and maintenance of servers and various types of IT training.

Training Experience:

I worked part time as an IT trainer whilst working for Sheffield City Council from 2001-2008.
I have tought people ranging from six-form age through to OAPs doing introductory Internet courses, from corporate training for businesses, to assisting people doing self-paced CBT training courses (such as the European Computer Driving License ECDL)
Training undertaken was as follows:-
Web Development with Dreamweaver (Beginner & Intermediate).
Training in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Powerpoint from (Beginner to Advanced).
Training for the European Computer Driving License.
Training IT Technicians as a Cisco Certified instructor for IT Essentials I & II.
Working as a relief trainer for the Cisco CCNA course.

Training Approach:

My approach to training is very much to tailor my tutoring to the specific needs of any particular client.
Even when teaching a specific syllabus I like to (if time permits) to teach people related skills based on my many years of real life business experience in IT.
