Personal Description:

Kathy is a knowledgeable and enthusiastic IT trainer with over twenty years' experience of training in computer applications and operating systems. She is also a competent courseware and technical author. Although she is an MCSE and an MCITP Enterprise Administrator in Windows 2008, she still enjoys training beginners, as well as experienced computer users and technical staff. Delegates on her courses regularly comment on how easy and interesting she makes it to learn new skills.

Training Experience:

Kathy has been an IT trainer for many years, in both private and public sectors, before going freelance. She has provided Microsoft Office training to individuals wanting to know more to help with a job, or just for personal interest, as well as for commercial and public sector organisations, including Taylor Wimpey and the US Air Force. She has provided desk-side support and training for many of the large training companies, including MTC, QA, Key Training and Computacenter.

Training Approach:

I like to make sure that all my trainees have a good understanding of how the application works at a basic level, before going on to "higher things" so that they can use the application affectively in the real world - not just on a training course. I provide as much hands-on practice as possible, and try to help clients to see how they can use the techniques in a work (or home) environment.
