Personal Description:

I have an extensive track record of raising standards and improving communities and healthcare settings over the past 10 years, in both leadership and management roles. Currently, as an ICT Project Manager, I work on the Customer Relationship Management Platform and the Digital Signature, two high-profile projects. Additionally, I have completed six case-management software tools that have been used by over 3000 users. Within the last financial year, I have been responsible for effectively managing, planning, and monitoring a budget of over £3 million for my projects. To ensure value for money, I have used various financial models, and behavioural economics or nudge theories, to achieve value for money.

In the past, I have led over 28 projects, both national and international, where my excellent organisational and problem-solving skills contributed to meeting the agreed quality requirements, deadlines and budgets. These included 12 public health projects, an adult social care (ASC) organisational restructuring project, six infrastructure projects, a national cultural event project, and three European projects which focused on diversity, collaboration and interactive learning.

I have evolved my strategic thinking skills by working with people with different skillsets, backgrounds and beliefs. I trust the benefits of cross-functional environments, which enable creative and open dialogue. Working closely with systems-thinking analysts for over three years has helped me to assess needs through a proactive mode, and to find solutions via a more spherical view. To improve on this, I have applied SWOT and PESTLE analysis, mind mapping and the 5WHYs technique, in the context of assessing needs and setting goals. I utilise visual tools throughout this process, as they can communicate the message faster to all relevant stakeholders, who will then challenge and debate the critical topics. For reviewing risk strategies and exploiting opportunities, it is essential for me to monitor and evaluate KPIs, to reach optimal targets.

Training Experience:

I hold a bachelor's degree in Social Work and a master’s degree in Project Management, as well as the PRINCE2 Practitioner qualification (2017) provided by AXELOS Ltd in the UK. Furthermore, I hold the Agile Certificate, provided by the Agile Business Consortium in the UK. Since I am passionate about the Agile concept, I have been trained in and have applied most of its approaches, such as Lean, Kanban, Scrum and Agile DSDM (Dynamic Systems Development Method).

I had the opportunity to apply most of PRINCE2’s management products, and to train some individuals and organisations on how to use them effectively for their own projects. These products included the Business Case, Mind Mapping, Work Breakdown Structure, Project Plan, Benefits Realisation, Lessons Learned Log, Process Map and RAID Log.

Some of the project management techniques that I have applied and taught are the Checklist, Influence/Interest Matrix, Critical Path, Earned Value Analysis, Probability Impact Grid, Work Breakdown Structure and Cause and Effect Diagram.

Additionally, some of the project management tools that I have used to support a visual and virtual collaboration are Trello, JIRA, Verto, MS Project Professional, MS Visio and MS Teams.

Training Approach:

Some of the teaching methods I have used are the following:

- Person-Centred approach
- Strength-Based approach
- Setting SMART objectives to measure progress
- SWOT approach
- Providing feedback after every lesson
- Using visual tools
- Reviewing completed and outstanding actions after every lesson
- Providing resources re project management and social care
- Focus on the structure of each report
- Using real scenarios that reflect current data
- 5 WHYs
- Mind Mapping
- STAR technique
