Information About Andrew - Shifnal trainer

Personal Description:

I am 48 years old married with two children. I spent 27 years in the hotel and catering industry as a General Manager working in a variety of hotels in and around the UK. I live in Shropshire where we have been for the past 15 years. I have been working for a training company and have now decided to go freelance teaching maths, English and IT primarily to adult and community learning. I am currently attending Wolverhampton University to complete my Certificate of Education (DTLLS) Diploma in The Life Long Learning Sector

Training Experience:

I have been training IT to 16 to 18 year olds for the past three years from basic skills to Level 1 (C-G) GCSE equivelent. This has required work to be produced in a variety of Microsoft applications Word, Excel, Publisher, Access database, Powerpoint, email, Internet, Movie maker, Proshow

Training Approach:

My approach to training is to make it structured, focused and functional. Find a project which is relevant to you with an application or applications you want to master then work on that. Ideally we would create a portfolio of work which you can refer to and see the distance travelled during your time with me. Plus this gives you opportunity to develop on the skills learnt in the future.
