Personal Description::

My name is Marina and I am a professional ballet dancer. I trained at Tring Park School for the Performing Arts, and the Royal Ballet Upper School in London. During my career I have performed with companies including the Royal Ballet, English National Ballet and in America with the Joffrey Ballet. I have been Scottish dancing/Ceilidh dancing since I was small having grown up in the highlands and I love to teach this skill to anyone preparing for a social event where reeling is required.

Dance Instruction/Teaching Experience::

I am passionate about teaching and supporting UK based dancers of all ages. I am offering ONLINE and in-person tutoring.
- I have experience teaching ballet to ages 3-11 including particular experience with teaching children with disabilities.
-I have coached 11-18 year olds, helping with exam syllabus, pointe work technique, and performance quality.
-Having trained at vocational school my coaching is ideal for audition preparation and performance tips.
-I have taught Scottish dance/reeling to individuals who wish to go to Ceilidh events.
- I am an expert flexibility coach having also trained in Pilates, and love to work with adults and children to improve flexibility and mobility.
- I am a great choice of tutor for those who would like to start tap dancing but would like to build up the confidence to join a public class.

Teaching Approach::

I am a very friendly and sensitive person and I strongly believe that building my student’s confidence is the most important aspect of learning and enjoying dance. I love to work with my students to find what works for them, with an understanding that we all learn differently and at different paces. Whilst dance can be a very serious passion and pursuit I think it is very important to keep my sessions interesting, positive and fun, and a safe space to make mistakes and learn from them.
