Personal Description::
Hi there! I'm Liam, a full time private tutor in London who has been dancing for almost his entire life and teaching tap and street dance for the last 5 years.
I started tap dancing when I was 6 years old, performing and competing until now. Examples include a solo guest performance for a talent TV show and winning 1st place in Cardiff University's Dance Competition, Advanced Tap category in 2018.
Aside from tap, I have been dancing hip hop since I was 14. My main styles are popping, breaking and urban choreography. Before university, I was a professional dancer for both live and TV performances. Additionally, I have competed and won in numerous UK varsity hip hop dance competitions and battles, such as 1st place in the Loughborough Dance Competition 2017, the largest varsity dance competition in the country.
Ultimately, I am extremely passionate about dance and my dream is to spread my enthusiasm of dance to as many people as I can to help the dance community grow and thrive. Whether you are an absolute beginner looking to learn from scratch or someone looking to take their skills to the next level, I am here to help you achieve your goals.
Dance Instruction/Teaching Experience::
Hip Hop- University dance classes, private 1-on-1 training, studio classes for children and beginners, Imperial College London hip hop crew lead choreographer.
Tap- Imperial College London dance company tap instructor and varsity team assistant choreographer.
Teaching Approach::
For beginners- I understand that when first starting out with dance, many will feel overly self conscious and awkward when first starting out. My approach is to overcome these barriers by making you comfortable and relaxed with dancing regardless of the current skill level. In addition to this, I will ensure you will work towards a strong foundation in dance whilst having fun in doing so. After all, that is what dance is all about- enjoying yourself.
For experienced students- I will reinforce the foundations while teaching more advanced techniques. Refining technique and finding an identity is the primary objective here.
CANCELLATION POLICY - Fee of half the hourly rate if class is cancelled within an hour of commencing, full hourly rate if cancelled within the scheduled timeslot.

Very happy with the lessons
was very patient with my 7 year old on her first lesson with him. He made her feel comfortable, communicated with her well and she gave her approval to have more lessons. Liam was able to quickly get his head around her math curriculum at school in order to make the most of each lesson. My daughter enjoys learning with Liam, she finds is easy to communicate areas that she would like more help with and looks forward to each lesson.

He explained information very clearly and asked me questions to ensure that I actually understood what he was saying. After the first session he asked me if the style of tutoring he was doing was okay for me, which it was, but I appreciated the fact that he was willing to adapt his style to suit me.
