Your progress is my priority. I am a medical doctor, former postgraduate student at the University of Oxford and the managing director of an educational publishing company. As an entrepreneur, doctor and a humanities graduate, I bring a unique skillset to my training, with expertise in both essay writing and scientific reasoning.

As a trainer, I pride myself on tailoring our sessions to your individual learning needs and my record to date has seen my clients flourish academically and professionally, often exceeding even their most ambitious occupational targets.
My strengths lie in helping you to formulate well-structured and coherent prose by developing the skills of argumentation and critical appraisal. In addition, I have a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the GMAT and GRE and have tutored many successful students in these subjects.

I started being tutored by James in September 2016, and despite the lack of any exposure to English Language and Literature prior to my Access to Higher Education Course, I have been getting only distinction grades on the subjects so far.
James has got very good communication skills and he is able to conduct high level analysis in a very simple, lucid and a systematic manner, which will make any student comfortable and confident about learning new things with James.
Additionally, he possesses little tricks that could take you “far beyond merely having an excellent grasp of the knowledge base”, a comment stated by my tutor on an assignment feedback sheet where I was awarded with a distinction on all grade descriptors for annotated poem presentation, which James prepared me for.
Furthermore, James also helped me earn top marks on other units such as Sociology and Psychology. Therefore, if language and communication are constructive components of the subject you are studying, he will help you achieve truly superb results!
