I am the Head of Psychology at a highly regarded and successful local secondary school. I have been teaching for 16 years and my students consistently achieve the highest grades in Psychology, with a high proportion of A* and A grades. With my work as an Examiner, I am able to offer you expert guidance on exam and revision techniques, in addition to helping you get to grips with the more challenging topics in Psychology such as research methods. I can offer in person or online tuition for A Level and degree level Psychology. Prior to becoming a teacher, I worked as a Clinical Psychologist, which has given me a great breadth and depth of psychological knowledge, which is useful in bringing the syllabus to life and encouraging students to deepen their learning beyond the classroom.

Tutoring Approach

My tuition sessions are first and foremost guided by you as the student. In the initial session we will discuss your goals and decide on the focus for the forthcoming sessions. Each tuition session will have a clear aim and purpose and we will review the progress of the tutorials at regular intervals. It may be that your needs also change as you move through your course. My aim is to use my background and experience to help build your confidence with a range of issues, such as depth of understanding of psychological research, writing skills, exam technique and effective revision strategies.
