Qualified Maths Teacher. I hold a degree in Mathematical Sciences (City University of London) a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (University of Nottingham) and I am currently working towards a Postgraduate Diploma in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy (University of Cambridge).
I am an extremely professional and personable individual who has a passion and drive to succeed. I currently work part-time as a qualified maths teacher.
I have over 10 years of working with young people in a variety of roles some of which are teaching, mentoring and facilitating faith based workshops.

Tutoring Approach

I focus on building a good rapport with students, in order for them to be open and honest about their learning. This enables me to take the best approach to help them.

How I work
-Focus on a topic identified by student (or student's teacher) as an area that needs developing and strengthening
-Teach topic starting from basic concepts then build student up enabling them to confidently work through GCSE exam questions
-Consistently assess learning using diagnostic questions and moving at a pace which is suitable for each individual student
-Consolidate learning with homework practice questions and mini assessments

I like to give praise when it's due, and show respect and appreciation for good effort. I also like to challenge students and to help them find confidence in their mathematical abilities.
