I am a fourth year medical student and this summer I received a BMedSci degree. I have three A-levels in Biology, Chemistry and Psychology. I have 9 GCSEs including Psychology.
I would describe myself as patient, understanding and engaging. My aims as a tutor are to encourage and empower my students in becoming confident in their learning abilities; for them to succeed academically and to develop a growth mindset. I aim to aid students in determining the best revision methods for their needs. I collaborate with students to build on their strengths and to challenge and improve upon their weaknesses. I tailor my lessons to each student to ensure each student has all their learning needs met. I motivate students to ask questions in order to encourage curiosity in students.

Tutoring Experience

I am a dedicated tutor with over a year of experience tutoring Key stage 3, GCSE and A-level students in Maths, Psychology, Biology and Chemistry. I’ve also worked with younger learners through my experience volunteering with Kumon, where I helped to build strong educational foundations in early age learners. I am most experienced with the AQA exam board for GCSE subjects, particularly Chemistry, Biology, Maths, and Psychology.

Tutoring Approach

My tutoring approach is highly adaptable, ensuring that each student’s unique learning style is prioritized. I believe in making complex topics accessible and engaging, using a combination of methods like visual aids, diagrams, and worked-out practice questions. This helps to reinforce key concepts and build confidence. I focus on creating a supportive and interactive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and actively participating. I ensure that each lesson is tailored to suit the student’s needs, making learning less daunting and more effective. Patience and clear communication are at the core of my tutoring, and my main aim is to empower students in their learning.
