I currently study Medicine at Lancaster University after completing my A Levels in 2022, and completing my GCSEs in 2020 at a grammar school. I am looking to tutor students in what was my favourite subject (Spanish) both at school and during Sixth Form. I am also looking to tutor primary school pupils who are planning to sit the 11+ entrance exams, which I sat in 2015 and performed well in.

Tutoring Experience

I tutored students in GCSE Spanish at my secondary school when I was in Sixth Form. I worked weekly to help them in becoming more confident in the language, and was a primary point of call if they needed help in revision techniques, exam preparation or class work.

Tutoring Approach

Spanish: I work with students to find the areas that they feel that they are weakest on (e.g. speaking or listening) and help them with exercises in those areas, while also cementing their knowledge and confidence in the areas they are strongest in. I also use active recall to help students memorise vocabulary or grammar points.

11+: I use past papers and past exam questions to assess the student’s ability in different concepts, and work with them in the areas that they feel they are weakest in, while increasing their knowledge and confidence in the areas they feel they are strongest in. I adapt my tutoring to how they learn best, to allow them to excel in the exams.
