Having studied MA Fashion at Central Saint Martins, I worked as a fashion designer for Alexander McQueen and Joe Casely Hayford and Enrico Coveri (Florence). I moved into teaching after having gained a PGCE in FE. I have taught at level 3 for nearly 20 years. I am also a published fashion author with my books serving as study guides for first and second year degree students and novice fashion designers. I am passionate about teaching and learning and I have worked with a wide age group, from schools (GCSE) to adult learners. My motto is, 'you're never too young or too old to learn something new'

Tutoring Experience

I have taught at foundation level/pre-degree entry for over 20 years. My teaching experience spans courses at Central St Martins, London College of Fashion, University of the Creative Arts. For several year I also ran a Fashion Foundation course in partnership with Istituto Marangoni, London campus.
I am very familiar with portfolio preparation for degree entry via UCAS. I have taught students who have successfully gained places on degree programmes around the UK, including LCF, CSM, Ravensbourne, Kingston Uni, Middlesex Uni, Newcastle Uni and Edinburgh Uni to name a few. I also work with young Adults and adult learners.

Tutoring Approach

My approach is to fully understand what we would be trying to achieve through the learning process. What is the end goal (if there is one) How can we reach this goal together, how do we get there and how can the sessions be as engaging and as fun as possible.
