Xiaohan is a brilliant tutor. She stepped in on very short notice to help my daughter with her final preparations for her Mandarin GCSE, specifically the Listening paper, and got straight to work. My daughter grew in confidence right from the first lesson. She has proved invaluable since then - she has lovely way of working, patient, and challenging where needed with full knowledge of the examination board and has provided numerous tips. My daughter has been delighted with her support. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend her.

Xiaohan is super friendly and helpful, taking the time and interest in getting to understand our needs and sharing very helpful advice. The one to one classes either online or in person are always engaging, interesting and relevant, we find Xiaohan to be very patient, clear and knowledgeable. Han has been a very professional and engaging teacher. Han makes the lesson feel very comfortable and there is no fear of making mistakes whilst speaking, as someone who started as a nervous beginner this is very important. Her lessons are structured and planned but not overwhelming, so you get the most out of the hour lesson as is possible. I would definitely recommend Han to anyone looking to start and learn mandarin, I have found the lessons enjoyable.

I would like to highly recommend Han for her ability in teaching Mandarin to English students interested in Chinese.
As a new student with no knowledge of Chinese, within days I was able to greet and converse in the basics. The lessons are fun, very informative and enjoyable.

She clearly has a deep understanding of the subtle differences between Chinese and English, and can explain the cultural reasoning behind words and phrases that might seem strange to native English speakers. I have been taking Mandarin classes with Han for 4 weeks now and already feel confident in basic Mandarin conversation, both speaking and listening. I look forward to each lesson where we refresh from the previous class and systematically learn a new topic.
Han has the ability to clearly explain the root of the meanings and vocabulary which makes the learning process a lot easier to grasp. The lessons are not only about learning the language, but also gaining a greater understanding of Chinese culture, habits and thought processes.
I highly recommend Han for Mandarin tuition. She has made learning this language, which I once thought was going to be a struggle, into an enjoyable and well explained process.

An excellent Mandarin teacher coupled with an ability to make quite a daunting language at times feel simple, makes Han a great teacher. Juggling University work and mandarin can sometimes be challenging, yet Han appreciates this and takes time to explain certain topics multiple times in order to learn it fully. An allround excellent tutor.

I have had lessons with Han for over a month now and I find her to be one of the best tutors I have ever had. Han has presented me with a flexible approach to learning, tailoring the lessons to meet my needs and requirements. The lessons I have had have been highly enjoyable yet informative and interesting. I have also found Han readily available and willing to reschedule and accommodate me when I myself have been unable to attend a lesson. I would highly recommend Han to anyone attempting to learn Mandarin at any level.

Our Mandarin lessons with Han (3 so far) have been very enjoyable. Mandarin pronounciation can be very difficult but we always feel at ease with Han. The lessons are informative, relaxed and fun and we feel confident that we will achieve our aim of being to converse with the parents of our son's fiancee when they come to the UK in October

I'm using Han for regular lessons and have found her professional, well organised and well prepared. I'm an experienced learner (post GCSE) but I'm sure her tuition would be good at any level, including beginners. A professional teacher whom I'm happy to recommend.
