Hi, I'm Wekem! I’m a BSc Biochemistry graduate from UCL, one of the UK’s top universities. I did 6 A Levels; Maths, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, French, and Global Perspectives (yes, SIX!), and achieved 3 A*s and 3 As.

I know firsthand how tough science can be, and how discouraging it is when a teacher explains things in a way that just doesn’t click. That’s exactly why I started tutoring.

My goal is simple: to make learning clearer, more approachable, and (believe it or not) even enjoyable.

Tutoring Experience

I teach GCSE/IGCSE/ A level and IB Biology

My teaching style focuses on making complex concepts simple and relatable, often using real-life examples tailored to each student’s interests. One of my students loved Prison Break, so I once used scenes from the show to explain action potentials, and it worked!

I teach using a dual-screen setup with an iPad, allowing me to draw diagrams and use visuals like images, models, and animations to bring topics to life. For each lesson, I prepare custom notes and provide exam board–specific model answers to reinforce understanding.

Tutoring Approach

One thing to know about me: I love asking questions! Why? Because that’s how we find out whether something’s really clicked. But don’t worry — every question I give comes directly from past exam papers or official exam boards, so they’re always relevant and useful.

When it comes to exam prep, I go the extra mile. I create predicted papers, focus on identifying and filling knowledge gaps, and spend time on exam technique — because understanding content is just half the battle.

And I won’t leave you hanging between lessons! I help my students build personalised revision timetables, so you keep your learning fresh and consistent. You'll also get plenty of extra questions and resources to stay on track.
