An enthusiastic and focused teacher who is committed to safeguarding and promoting the education and well-being of children and young people at all times. I am passionate about giving young children the best possible education in life, whilst enjoying working in a busy environment and relish the challenge of managing a diverse workload. I am able to establish a supportive relationship with students and parent/guardian, all with the aim of promoting and reinforcing a student’s independence and self-esteem. I stay calm under pressure and fully assess each situation without hastily taking decisions without the thought of its consequences. I maintain a well-organised and focused attitude to become an outstanding teacher. My teaching experience has allowed me to develop my skills in teaching and allowed me to put my skills into practice. I am a very hard working individual with great time management skills. I am able to seek guidance and support from other colleagues and work as part of a team. Creativity and imagination is shown throughout all my lesson structures and this is fed back in my observations. I am flexible and versatile as I take pride in my work. I arrive early and leave late to ensure all my duties and planning is complete. Even as a teacher I have a desire to learn more and progress myself further.

Tutoring Experience

Currently responsible for the teaching of students in a year 3 class. Responsible for the day to day teaching, including planning lessons, teaching in an efficient yet effective way. Responsible for the progress of children over the term, including responding to children’s strengths and targets.

Duties:

• Day to day teaching to 30 children –including children who have English as an additional language.
• Planning and preparing subject lessons in lines with the National Curriculum.
• Motivating children to achieve the best they can.
• Marking on a daily basis.
• Producing and delivering lesson that are creative and stimulating.
• Assessing pupils abilities, producing targets based on the National Curriculum.
• Levelling children’s progress against the National Curriculum.
• Attending staff meetings.
• Working with the year group teacher to plan and deliver well-structured lessons.
• Achieving and maintain high standards of care and education.
• Managing children who have severe behavioural needs.

Tutoring Approach

I would request a school report of the child before hand to understand the child's strengths and weakness of subject areas.
Later I would sit with both parent/guardian to discuss in depth about the child's strengths and weakness to give myself a clear understanding of what areas of work I should focus on.
This discussion is also embedded to learn more about the child. The preferred way of learning and also getting to know the child further.

I would ask the child to complete a worksheet to review their learning (based on the year group of the child). This is more for myself- to give me further guidance on the child's learning ability.
Based on the discussions with parent/guardian and child, the assessment and report. I will be able to target which areas the child needs help on.
I would provide learning materials for the child and focus the teaching on areas that need development. After a set series of session, I would like to review the child's learning to see if the child has become confident in that subject topic area, and is able to answer questions around that area.
