Tutoring Approach

-Offering a collaborative, student-centered and personalized tuition following an initial assessment of the students level in a first free session.
-Each session is fitted to the students learning needs and objectives and, when relevant and adequate, revolves around their personal / professional interests.
-Create my own learning material in the form of PowerPoint sequences. Those PowerPoint sequences can be grammar-based or theme-based and will generally cover a range of documents and language skills (such as reading, listening, speaking etc.).
-Depending on the students' learning needs, provide original content with a strong and authentic cultural / societal input, far from the traditional stereotypes associated with the learning of a specific language (especially at beginner's level.).
-Provide thorough follow-up and adjust, revise or modify my teaching material depending on my students learning progression, wishes and tastes.
-Each student receives the totality of the session's learning material with very clear notes, highlighted key vocabulary and explanations. Each lesson material is carefully updated and post-edited after the session so that my students can keep an exact track of their progression and revise what they have seen and learnt during the session.
-Work is adapted to the learner's pace of learning and exercises are provided in total consistency with the material reviewed.
-I send the material back to my students within 48 hours of their session's attendance with clear directions for the next sessions to come.
-Using Zoom, the students have plenty of opportunity to use the control of the screen either to complete exercises (online or on my presentations), write, draw or highlight contents, depending on their age and the tasks they are proposed to perform.
-The students are given plenty of opportunity to self-correct.
-Each task requiring speaking is followed by a further-improved recap (performed by the student themselves) which always results in a clear and well-presented written summary (with relevant vocabulary / synonyms lists and/or essential grammar points added or highlighted ).
