I’m a dedicated and passionate mathematics tutor with a strong academic background and years of real-world experience. Originally trained as an electrical and financial engineer, I spent my earlier career as a high-frequency algorithmic trader with major banks in London and New York. I now focus full-time on what I find most meaningful—helping students thrive academically and develop a lifelong love for maths and physics.
I hold Master's degrees in Electrical Engineering and Financial Engineering from Columbia University (New York), graduating with a GPA over 4.0, and an Economics degree from the London School of Economics. Having competed in national Maths and Physics Olympiads during my school years, I understand the pressures and rewards of academic excellence—and I bring that insight into every lesson.
Over the past two years, I’ve tutored students across a range of settings, from one-on-one GCSE and A-Level support to university-level teaching. I began through Columbia University's tutoring agency, where I helped secondary school students improve their grades, exam technique, and self-belief.
I’ve also served as a teaching assistant and Dean’s tutor at the postgraduate level, supporting courses in mathematics, physics, and engineering. This experience allows me to break down even the most complex topics into clear, manageable steps for students at all levels.
I’m well-versed in the major exam boards—Edexcel, AQA, and OCR—as well as in international frameworks such as IB and IGCSE. Whether your child is aiming for a Grade 5 in Foundation Tier GCSE Maths or an A* in A Level Further Maths, I bring both rigour and encouragement to help them get there.
My goal is to empower students to become confident, independent learners who not only succeed in exams but also enjoy the subject. I tailor each session to the student’s specific needs—whether that’s improving predicted grades, tackling difficult exam topics, or filling in knowledge gaps.
I create a friendly, open environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes—that’s how real learning happens. I prioritise clear explanations, lots of practice, and immediate feedback to build confidence and fluency.
Beyond the immediate aim of higher marks, I work to equip students with study habits, problem-solving techniques, and mathematical thinking that will serve them well beyond the classroom.
