Hi, I am Varanya and I’m currently a law undergraduate at the University of Manchester! After GCSEs, where I achieved all A-A* grades, I began my A-Level journey and immediately found myself drawn to history. Over the two years, I curated full-proof revision methods, exam techniques and essay structures which allowed me to excel and cultivate a great passion for history, thus resulting in me achieving a high A* in A-Level history (scoring 172/200 overall and 76/80 on one paper). Now I want to help other students reach their full potential and achieve the best grades they can in this subject. In my free-time I am an avid lover of dance and music, with a passion for reading anywhere and everywhere. I hope that I can help you achieve the best grade you can achieve in history!

Tutoring Experience

• History A-Level tutor administrating group tutoring sessions for 20 A-Level history students going over essay structure technique, critical analysis skills and revision methods to ensure an A/A* grade A-Level History.
• History A-Level Masterclass (08/09/24) - tutored 10 A-Level AQA history students for FREE online
• History Prefect at Wirral Grammar School For Girls - Led weekly discussions with KS3 students to raise interest in the study of history, coordinated history-themed events which commemorated important anniversaries and mentored younger students on how to approach essay writing and exam preparation.
• Centre of Excellence | Assistant/Tutor | Liverpool - Consistently supported students in improving academic attainment, marked and provided feedback on student's 11+ mock examination papers and adapted teaching methods to tailor to the needs of individual students
• Level 2 Community Sports Leadership | Sports Leaders - Delivered safe, interactive, and inclusive sports sessions on a weekly basis and coached primary school children in various sports, including football and netball
