Hi! I'm Professional guitarist/musician and tutor based in Guildford. I currently play with a number of bands/artists spanning many different genres. I have experience in playing/teaching Rock, Pop, Blues, Jazz, RnB, Soul, Country and many other styles.

I have a First Class BMus(Hons) Degree in Professional Musicianship from The Academy Of Contemporary music where I studied with players such as Pete Roth (London Gala Orchestra), Jon Bishop (Shakin' Stevens, The Bodyguard Touring Show), Giorgio Serci (BBC Concert Orchestra, Jools Holland), Mark Taylor (Elton John, Mark Knopfler) and many more. Under these tutors I gained an understand and command for my instrument, as well as, music theory, songwriting and arranging, sight reading and much more.

Tutoring Experience

I have regularly taught 30+ students for the past year. From people that have never touched a guitar, to other professional musicians. I have guided students through theory and performance grades for both the Trinity and RSL RockSchool. From grade 1 right through to grade 8. All with great success. I take pride in the fact that I have a 100% pass rate.

As well as this I also teach students the songs, techniques and concepts which they want to learn, and will do my best to sway them in a direction which I think will be most beneficial for them.

Tutoring Approach

My main goal is for my students to enjoy themselves! I want the lessons to be fun and relaxed, whilst still achieving the goals which we have set together, in a realistic time frame.

As mentioned, I can guide students through any grade syllabus they wish. Alternatively I can show you how to play some of your favourite songs, or teach you how to improvise, sight read, music theory concepts, or how to work out songs for your self.

Each lesson is tailored to the students needs, I understand each player is different, therefore each lesson needs to be bespoke.

My want is for every student to finish each lesson having enjoyed themselves, and made progress with their playing.
